Peace of Risen Christ to all who visit this Website. Hallelujah!!
Christ is still living in our midst through various Media. The Website is created to learn more about our retreat ministries and other Spiritual activities arranged according to God’s plan. Our retreat center is inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Rule of St.Benedict.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ entails us to proclaim the Good News to all the Mankind and here at our retreat center we proclaim this Good News of the Gospel in the format of Retreats and other spiritual services. Every month, several hundred people from all walks of Life attend the Retreats at this center. Deliverance, Healing, Transformations of their life, and Encountering of Christ occur during these retreats Our main message to all the attendees is the Hope of Christ which is available to all the individuals who believe in the Salvation of their souls by Christ. The first Letter of Paul to Timothy says, For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all.
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Evangelization of Good News. The simplest way to say what Evangelization means is to follow Pope Paul VI, whose message Evangelii Nuntiandi (On Evangelization in the Modern World) has inspired so much recent thought and activity in the Church. At its essence are the proclamation of salvation in Jesus Christ and the response of a person in faith, which are both works of the Spirit of God. Gospel of Mathew Chapter 10 verse 8 says Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. And in a nutshell, this is the aim of this retreat center.
The Second Vatican Council tells us that the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life” (Lumen Gentium, no 11; cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1324). The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The term “Eucharist” originates from the Greek word eucharistia, meaning thanksgiving. In the celebration of the Eucharist, bread, and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and the instrumentality of the priest. The whole Christ is truly present — body, blood, soul, and divinity — under the appearances of bread and wine, the glorified Christ who rose from the dead. Through the Eucharist Jesus enters our lives, and his very presence is healing. As food and drink nourish us, so the real presence of Jesus nourishes us. Holy Communion unites us with him in an intimate way. The Christ we meet in the Eucharist is Emmanuel, God with us. Our retreat center places great value on the celebration of the Eucharist and Eucharistic Adoration.
St Benedict of Nursia who is famously known for his gift of Delieverene is the patron saint of our retreat center. Deliverance is freedom in Christ to be the person the Lord created you to be.”It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” Gal 5:1.Those who seek the help of Deliverance ministry desire to live Jesus’ promise of abundant life and have decided to act righteously, but are experiencing blockages or bondages. They may feel unable to overcome negativity, fear, sorrow, anxiety, grief, resentment, habitual sin, and compulsions, even though their minds understand that their behavior is not right or healthy. In these persistent trials, evil spirits may be at work. Outreach Ministries part of this Retreat center also conducts Bible Conventions and Healing services around the World. Also, special retreats are held for Priests, Religious Brothers, and Sisters by this Benedictine Retreat center. Youth retreats are held during school Holidays to cater to the needs of young ones. A dedicated team of volunteers along with Benedictine Priests helps the smooth working of this retreat center.
Our retreat policy is simple. As our Divine Master Jesus Christ stated “Let all guests who arrive be received like Christ, for He is going to say, ‘I came as a guest, and you received Me’ (Matt. 25:35).” . I once again take this opportunity to welcome you all to this Holy Retreat Center in the name of Jesus Christ and wishing you all the best to experience the Christ presence in your daily life.
Blessings,
Director of Benedictine Retreat Centre , Makkiyad , Wayanad
